Broadband FAQ

My broadband has stopped working. What should I do?

If you follow the steps below you may save yourself a phone call:

What is your SMTP/Mail server address

smtp.managedbroadband.com

Please note:
Access to the outgoing servers are restricted by IP address; you will need to be connected to Eurotel by ADSL or dial-up to make use of this relay, or you will see: Error 550: Relaying not allowed

I can't send emails since I swapped my broadband to Eurotel

You will need to change your outgoing mail settings to use our email gateway (smtp.managedbroadband.com).

Depending on your local IT setup you will need to either change the setting in your email program (eg Outlook) or on your server.

What are your DNS settings

Domain Name Servers are used to resolve a domain into an IP address.
Take for example www.griffin.com has the IP of 195.177.192.65. The IP address then acts like a phone number on the internet.
With the introduction of DNS the Internet has been able to grow as whole and people are able to access websites far more easily.
If you are not using the correct DNS for Internet connection you may experience problems with web browsing, such delays or websites not being found.
We recommend that you allow your router to automatically detect the DNS servers when it connects to the Internet, however if you wish to specify them manually they are listed be-low:
